Film & Processing
What formats do you process?
We develop colour Super 8, 16mm, and 35mm motion picture film using ECN2 chemistry.
Can you help source film stock?
Yes — we can assist with sourcing and planning based on your production’s needs and schedule. We are currently in the process of having an inventory of S8, 16mm and 35mm Kodak Vision 3 film. This can be found on our BUY FILM page.
Till then, reach out to us with your requirements and we're happy to point you in the direction of our local Kodak representative.
How should exposed film be stored before delivery?
Keep film cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight. If there will be a delay before processing, refrigeration is recommended.
Turnaround & Logistics
What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround varies depending on format and project scale, but most orders are completed within a week of receiving the film. Expedited processing may be available for time-sensitive productions.
Will my original negative be returned?
Always. Your camera negative is handled with the highest level of care and returned after processing and scanning.
Scanning & Post
Do you offer scanning services?
Yes — we provide high-resolution scanning suitable for contemporary post-production workflows, from offline edits to final colour grading.
We currently have partnerships with Prasad Corporation in Chennai and Jus Electronics in Mumbai for scanning services. Technical details of the scanners and formats can be found on our RATES page.
Once processed, we are happy to work with your post-production team and our scanning partners to ensure a smooth transition to what you shoot, to what you see. If you choose to scan at Prasad Corporation in Chennai, please note that scanning turnarounds depend on logistics of sending processed film and the facility's scanning load/schedule. We will help to coordinate all the logistics with them and will keep you posted in real-time about the status and expected delivery of your scans.
Can you support our workflow from shoot through post?
Absolutely. We can advise on exposure, stock selection, scanning strategy, and post considerations to ensure a smooth path from camera to screen.
First-Time Film Shooters
I’ve never shot on film before — can you help?
Yes. We regularly support first-time filmmakers and are happy to guide you through stock selection, camera considerations, and workflow planning.
Is shooting on film complicated?
Film rewards preparation, but with the right support it becomes a reliable and deeply rewarding process. Our goal is to make that process straightforward and accessible.
Education & Community
Do you offer workshops or training?
Yes. Our programs are designed for cinematographers, students, and artists looking to build practical experience with motion picture film.
Can institutions collaborate with the lab?
We welcome partnerships with film schools, art institutions, and cultural organizations.
